The Standard for Business Process Integration
ALE is the technical basis for integrating business processes in a distributed system environment. It includes developer and testing tools and preconfigured ALE Business Processes delivered in the standard SAP Release. With ALE you can make connections between SAP systems of different Release versions and non-SAP systems using standard communication interfaces. ALE Supports both close-coupled, real-time communication and asynchronous coupling for when connections are not immediately available.
