Great news for existing Business Connector users
In July 2008 SAP confirmed the release of SAP Business Connector 4.8
when they published the
OSS note 1094412,
now guaranteeing the life of Business Connector product until at least 2016.
Users of previous SAP Business Connector releases faced the prospect of either continuing to operate with an unsupported product (as SAP BC and the underlying operating systems and JREs approached or reached end of maintenance) or embarking on a potentially complex and costly migration to an alternative middleware solution.
